All classes are run by Ellie Meade, an International Dance Teachers Association qualified teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in both private dance tuition and adult education colleges.

Ellie first became involved in dancing at the age of 6 attending her Grandfather's dance school 'Catshill Dance Centre' near Bromsgrove.

Ellie's Grandparents, Don and Betty Hopper competed at amateur level for some time before turning professional. Prior to turning professional Betty won the prestigious award 'Ballroom Queen' and they travelled the country competing in amateur competitions including the televised program - Come Dancing!

In 1971, Don went onto set up Catshill dance centre with Carol, his second wife and principle dance teacher and examiner Diane Edwards.

As a child Ellie competed in Freestyle and Rock and Roll competitions and began to help out teaching both adults and children’s classes. It was during this time Ellie realised she enjoyed teaching so at the age of 17. Trained by Diane Ellie began to study for her teaching exams qualifying in Ballroom (IDTA) then continuing to take further exams over the next 10 years in Latin, Salsa, Rock and Roll Line dancing, Freestyle and dance exercise.

Ellie's approach to teaching is friendly, positive and inclusive. Her tuition is clear and concise allowing you to learn new skills in an enjoyable setting.
